These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to your use of serenitycottage.shop (the “Site”) and to any purchase from Serenity Cottage Brands LLC (“Serenity Cottage,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), whether online or in person. By using the Site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms.

1. About Us

Serenity Cottage Brands LLC is a Georgia limited liability company that makes and sells handmade soaps, candles, and related bath and home goods. You can reach us at support@serenitycottage.shop.

2. Products

Handmade variation: Our products are made by hand in small batches. Color, scent strength, shape, size, and appearance may vary slightly from photos and from one batch to the next. These variations are part of handmade goods and are not defects.

Ingredients: Ingredients are listed on each product page and label. Please review them carefully before purchase, especially if you have allergies or sensitive skin.

Not medical products: Our products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition.

3. Product Safety

Soaps and bath products:

  • For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes.
  • If you have sensitive skin or allergies, test on a small area of skin first.
  • Stop using any product that causes irritation, and consult a doctor if irritation continues.
  • Keep out of reach of children and pets.

Candles:

  • Never leave a burning candle unattended.
  • Keep candles away from children, pets, drafts, and anything that can catch fire.
  • Burn on a heat-resistant surface.
  • Trim the wick to about 1/4 inch before each use.
  • Do not burn for more than 4 hours at a time.
  • Stop burning when about 1/2 inch of wax remains.

You are responsible for using our products as directed. We are not responsible for injury or damage that results from misuse, from failing to follow these instructions, or from using a product despite a known allergy to a listed ingredient.

4. Orders and Pricing

  • All prices are in U.S. dollars.
  • Placing an order is an offer to buy. We may accept or decline any order, including for suspected fraud, pricing errors, or limited stock. If we cancel an order after you’ve been charged, we will refund you in full.
  • We may change prices and product availability at any time. Price changes do not affect orders already accepted.
  • If a product is listed at an incorrect price, we may cancel the order and refund you.

5. Payment

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your full card number. By submitting payment, you confirm that you are authorized to use the payment method you provide.

6. Sales Tax

Applicable sales tax is calculated at checkout or at the point of sale, based on where the order is delivered or where the in-person sale takes place.

7. Shipping

We currently ship within the United States only. Orders ship within 3–5 business days, unless a product page says otherwise. Delivery times after shipment depend on the carrier. Risk of loss passes to you when the carrier delivers your package. See our Refund Policy for damaged, lost, or incorrect items.

8. Local Pickup and In-Person Sales

Local pickup orders must be collected within 14 days of the pickup notice, or the order may be canceled and refunded minus any processing fees. Purchases made at markets and events are covered by these Terms and our Refund Policy.

9. Returns and Refunds

Returns, exchanges, and refunds are covered by our Refund Policy, which is part of these Terms.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site, including the Serenity Cottage name, logo, photos, product descriptions, and design, belongs to Serenity Cottage Brands LLC. You may not copy or use it without our written permission.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Serenity Cottage Brands LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site or our products. Our total liability for any claim related to a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for that product.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Gwinnett County, Georgia.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version posted on the Site when you place an order applies to that order.
